Organizing Committee
The First International Conference on Silicon in Agriculture (ICSA) was held September 26-30th, 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, at the Lago Mar Resort and Club.
The most important aspect of the conference was for colleagues in silicon science from around the world come together on a personal basis. The goal was the identification of the most important topics for future research, and the formulation of techniques, conventions, and strategies for conducting these studies in collaborative efforts with new-found colleagues cutting across disciplines and international borders.
